Notes for: Smith Bradbury

Smith was born on the 9th May 1860 in Richmond Victoria- occupation Dairyman. He married Elizabeth Brittain, born c 1861 in Geelong .

Elizabeth died on the 1st August 1907at a Melbourne Hospital. Smith probably married a second time to Ritty Hilliard. Smith died 25th November 1936 in Camberwell Victoria. Elizabeth and Smith are buried in the Boroondara General Cemetery.

Buried with Elizabeth and Smith is a 23 month old child – Thelma Ellen Elizabeth Pretty.

According to Birth & Deaths, Thelma’s parents were Martha Jane Bradbury and James Yates.

Two possible mothers could be:

Martha Elizabeth – daughter of Squire (niece of Smith & Elizabeth)
Margaret Jane (see below) daughter of Smith & Elizabeth

Smith and Elizabeth had three children.
