Very good information I was not aware of. I did know about the diatomaceous earth and its effects on a lot things we don't need around, like cock roaches.

it is good to know about the oil as a natural preventative as well. I know some of them work well and have used them.

Thanks for the research and sharing.

Thanks, Susan. I just got some 1/2 inch harware cloth at Home Depot. It's too flimsy by itself so I'll have to put a couple of pieces of wood on the sides. I haven't put it on yet because I think it will block some of the heat from the bulb. By next week, I shouldn't need the heat bulb any longer.

I think this is so cool. Wish I could participate. It's not possible for me to have a coop or even visit others at this time. My work takes me away from home constantly. At one time I did have chickens and feel like they give back much more than just the egg production. Glad to here other people are getting to enjoy their chicks.

Hey Jim,
This is Rob, we worked for ARINC in Phoenix together. I've got 6, month old Brahma chicks in my garage awaiting me finishing the coop! How many will you have - fellow chicken lover?

Cheers.
